Bearded Collie Club of America
2010 NATIONAL SPECIALTY
Hosted by The Rocky Mountain Bearded Collie Connection
October 4th – October 8th
Loveland, Colorado

Herding: Monday October 4th, Ft. Lupton, Colorado

Agility, Conformation, Obedience, Rally and More
Tuesday October 5th – October 8th
Embassy Suites Hotel and The Ranch

"Through The Years," Colorado has been instrumental in hosting National Bearded Collie Events. In 1978 the Queen City Bearded Collie Club of Colorado hosted a sanctioned B-OB Match at the famed Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, CO. Since that time Colorado has hosted 2 Nationals — 1991 and 2004 — and we prepare to do a 3rd.

"Through The Years," our Bearded Collies have evolved into a dog that hardly resembles the look of the Beardies that won that B match 32 years ago, but the heart and soul of our wonderful dog remains. Nothing will ever change the expression that one can melt into or the wonderful bouncing, fun loving personality that accompanies it. This year we will honor our Veterans.

Agility, Obedience, Rally, and Conformation, with the exception of Herding, are within easy walking distance of the host hotel, The Embassy Suites, and RV parking and will be held at The Ranch, more formally known as The Larimer County Fair Grounds. All are in view of the front range of the Rocky Mountains, with acres of open space for lovely long walks.

Our challenge is to pack into 5 days as many activities as we used to have in 7.

The Specialty kicks off on Monday with a herding test and trial at Valdemar Farms in Ft. Lupton, only 45 minutes from the host hotel.

Tuesday will start bright and early with the Agility trial in an indoor arena at The Ranch.

Wednesday we begin with Obedience and Rally. The venue will be close to — but separate from — the conformation rings and grooming area. The afternoon will be Puppy Sweeps with an intermission and then, in the late afternoon, our very special salute to our veterans with Veteran Sweeps.

Thursday is a full schedule with both dog and bitch judging. And last but not least on Friday the Best of Breed competition, including Juniors and non-regular classes.

Included throughout the week are the ever popular Welcome Party, Auction, and the BCCA Awards Banquet. We have a special surprise planned for the General Membership meeting this year. You will not want to miss this either.
