Futurity Judge
It all started in 1976, when I saw Virginia Parsons and her Beardies on TV. I searched everywhere on the East coast but couldn't find one. So, in April '77, I imported Ghilllie (Grayona Jubilee Easter Lily, Am. Can TD) from Mrs. Broadbridge (Nick's mother) and Donbarlen became a reality. 2yrs later, Ghillie gave us 3 Champions out of her only litter, all owner handled. Donbarlen has produced 14 AKC Champions including an International Champion, 3 ROM bitches and one Versatility Dog "Ch. Whispered Wish O'Donbarlen HIC, TD." All mostly owner handled but sometimes I counted on PHA's to get those elusive majors.
In 2004, I had the pleasure of showing in France and Italy where I met more beautiful Beardies and their owners. In my later years, I am proud to work with the veterans at the VA with Garbo and Spirit my 2 Therapy dogs. I love the breed, especially puppies and the people they own. I am humbled to think that you had such faith in me to judge the Futurity.
