Conformation
Wednesday, October 6 - Friday, October 8
Larimer County Fairgrounds (The Ranch)
These events will be held inside in the First National Bank Building at The Ranch on October 7 and 8. You will be able to walk or use the golf cart shuttles to go across the parking lot from the hotel. There, you will also find the reserved grooming spaces and bathing area. Our ring will be 50' X 65' with vendor setups and ample seating around the perimeter.
The grooming area will be closed off so as not to be a distraction. There will be a full concession where snacks and lunch can be purchased beginning at 10:30 AM. There will be complimentary coffee, water and breakfast pastries set up from 7:00 – 10:00 AM.
We have 4 experienced breeder-judges to officiate. Three are Bearded Collie breeders, and our Junior Handler judge breeds and judges Malamutes.
Conformation competition will begin on Wednesday afternoon with Barbara Marshall (Donbarlen - USA), judging Futurity, followed by Claudia McNulty (Meadows-USA), who will judge sweepstakes. There will be a break between puppy and veteran sweeps. We will convene later in the afternoon for Rescue and Therapy Parades to be followed by a very special tribute to our veteran beardies.
On Thursday and Friday, Sharon Ipser (Wigglesworth-USA) will judge all regular and non-regular classes, for dogs and bitches.
On Friday, before the start of BOB, Robin Hug (Adair'n'Hug-USA) will judge junior showmanship.
Check out all the judges' bios.
Note: We will have a bathing area located outside of the grooming setup. Shampoo and conditioner will be provided. Please bring towels from home. No bathing or grooming of dogs is allowed in the guest rooms. The towels in the hotel are only for human guests.
